I'm Julia Szabo, also known as a Pet Reporter, and I am the ""Living with Dogs"" columnist for dogster.com. I've actually written 6 books and I'm hard at work on my next one. It will be about about dogs -- that's as much as I can say right now. I love dogs and I think nobody's life is complete without one. So I'm here to tell you about a variety of different dogs breeds that might suit your lifestyle. I hope you'll adopt one soon.
The Weimaraner, or if we're speaking German the ""Veimaraner"", is a German breed who was bred or created to accompany aristocrats on the hunt for large game. He's a nobleman's dog, and he kind of knows it. He carries himself with great poise and dignity and he really looks like a prince among dogs.

This dog recently has gotten a lot of publicity, thanks to the American artist William Wegman. He's a dog artist, as most people know, and his passion is photographing his own Weimaraners in various poses, kind of anthropomorphizing them and making them look really human. They're just cute pictures. Weimaraners, despite their very dignified appearance, have a streak of clown in them. They love to play, they love to be hammy. This is something that Mr. Wegman really makes use of in his work. I've seen him with his dogs and I've seen him train the camera on his dogs. They just love to perform. I've never seen anything like it.

Almost like poodles in the circus, they love to please their owner. The Weimaraner, if you ask me, has the potential to be the next Snoopy, to be this kind of dog that appears on your kids' bed sheets, your pillows and your home décor. It's a very cheerful image, a very noble looking dog, yet also a very floppy, cute pout?

Apr 3, 2017 - you gave absolutely no pro or cons that are realistic. In case you were wondering why the dislikes are pouring in. if I turned this video into a college professor I'd get an F. I could say more but I'll let you get back to writing "books."

Nov 25, 2016 - They are great dogs. I had one for 13 years. If you're looking for a dog to really be a part of your family. Then this might be a good dog for you. They do need exercise walks, park, swimming. But as long as you spend the majority of your time with them they are awesome loyal loving dogs.

Aug 1, 2016 - why are you showing your bullys and not homeowners?

Sep 19, 2015 - She ignored all the traits about the Weimaraner that come from breeding just as she would about her own dog breed that kills the most humans and other animals. Character traits have a funny way of coming out no matter how good a dog is raised and why we have nearly 500 humans dead in the past 3 decades from pit bulls. Many more disfigured for life. Pits are the only breed to scalp & dismember it's victims to death.

May 5, 2015 - How is there about pros and cons?  all we find out is that Wegman's dogs love to perform.  I've had weims for the last 20 years (3 currently) and am involved with two separate weim rescues.  People buy weims because they look great and yes, they are beautiful in wegman's photos.  BUT the reality of weimaraners is that they are NOT for everyone and can be very different from other dog breeds.  Do your research, talk to breeders, read over rescue pages to find out about their personalities that are very complex and please do not listen to this woman who cant even be bothered to put weim pics in her video on weimaraners.
